BA Expressway Construction Begins Monday

TULSA, OK -- Work is scheduled to begin Monday to overlay three miles of the Broken Arrow Expressway in Tulsa.

This project will improve the driving surface between the State Highway 51/Interstate 44 junction and Harvard Avenue.

With more than 87,000 vehicles traveling the stretch of highway each day, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation is taking steps to minimize the impact to traffic.

The majority of the work will be during off-peak travel times, which includes overnight hours on weekdays and throughout weekends.

No closures are expected this week, and there will be no lane or ramp closures weekdays from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. or during the Easter weekend.

The $2 million project is expected to take two months to complete.
