TULSA, OK -- Two innocent people have been shot in the past two days, and Tulsa gang officers and homicide detectives worked all night to put the four people responsible behind bars.

Police say the shootings are connected. The teenager accused of shooting a woman Tuesday was the intended target of a shooting Monday.

Teenager Marquis Weeden is at the center of both shootings.

On Monday, police say three people were trying to shoot him, but instead hit an innocent man near him. On Tuesday, they say he was shooting a rifle from his home and the bullet crashed through a window and fragments hit a woman sitting in her living room.

Police say Weeden, whose street name is "Kiki," has been busy. In addition to being shot at and accidentally shooting a woman down the street, they say he had 11 stolen guns in his house, including the rifle used to fire the shot into the woman's living room.

The guns were stolen from a burglary a few days ago, police say. One handgun was used in an armed robbery a couple of days ago, where he shot at the victim but missed.

They also found that man's wallet in Weeden's house in the 2200 block of North Cincinnati Avenue.

"These gangsters, what they pride themselves on is fear, putting fear into other gang members or the public and that's something we can't let them do," said Sgt. Sean Larkin, with TPD's Gangs Unit.

Police say three male suspects are in jail because they were trying to shoot Weeden on Monday at the Seminole Hills Apartments.

Starnell "Street" Williams, Treveon "Tycoon" Vaughn and A.D. Johnson are accused of missing Weeden, but hitting a 50-year-old Troy Ruffin.

Records show Vaughn told police as they were running away, Johnson also shot at a man in a white truck because he thought he was calling police. That man was not hit.

Police recovered all three guns they believed were used that day.

All suspects involved were 16 to 20 years old.

"As I get older and my kids get closer to the age of the kids we're grouping up, that is an eye-opener for me," Larkin said.

The woman who was shot is home recovering, and Ruffin is still in the hospital.

TPD detectives still want to talk with Freddie Smith and Deontae Lovelace as witnesses.
