Tulsa Safety Barrier Stops Pickup Truck

TULSA, OK -- A Tulsa man totals his pickup truck after crashing on I-44 and walks away unharmed.

The accident happened around 4:15 a.m. Friday where the Interstate highway and the Broken Arrow Expressway intersect.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the driver was heading eastbound on I-44 when he crashed on the ramp towards the Broken Arrow Expressway.

Troopers say the pickup truck slammed into a safety barrier going 60 miles an hour. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt.

OHP troopers say the man was out of the vehicle and walking around when they arrived.

He was taken to the Tulsa hospital as a precaution.
