Two Arrested Following Tulsa Meth Lab Bust

TULSA, OK -- No one is immune to the dangers of meth labs, including Tulsa Police officers. 

Police say at least three police officers were treated after coming in contact with toxins during a meth lab bust Monday night.   In addition, two brothers were arrested at the scene.

Police got a tip about a strange odor at the Denver Terrace Apartments at 17th and Denver. 

Once the officers arrived on arrived on scene they found a working meth lab. 

Police had to evacuate a couple of neighboring apartments as a precaution. 

None of the residents were hurt, but the exposure to the toxins made at least three of the officers sick. 

Medical personnel gave the officers oxygen at the scene. 

Tulsa Police say this is just another example of how dangerous these labs can be. 

"Unfortunately here, due to the fact that officers found themselves in the middle of this situation, we have at least three officers who have pretty severe exposure.  They're extremely dangerous for police, extremely dangerous for the public it's definitely a serious situation," said Tulsa Police Sgt. Kurt Dodd. 

Police say two brothers are now in custody, 42-year-old Mike Jarosz and 37-year-old John Jarosz. 

Both were booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of manufacturing meth.
