WAGONER, OK -- An 8-year-old boy is back with his family after being missing for a few hours Saturday.
The boy left his home to walk to a friend's house but never showed up, Wagoner Police Chief Terry Hornbuckle said.
Authorities set up a command post at an old sewing factory and used an Oklahoma Highway Patrol plane in the search for the boy, Hornbuckle said. Volunteer firefighters also assisted police by going door-to-door.
The boy was found about 8 p.m. near his home. He was unharmed and possibly had gotten lost.
