CATOOSA, OK -- What's often called "Dysfunction Junction" is getting even more congested.

That's because crews closed the right lane of southbound 193rd East Avenue at I-44.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation is moving utilities as part of a 21-month, $50 million rebuilding plan for the area, which is notorious for back-ups.

The project will double the lanes on both I-44 and 193rd, as well as repair the I-44 bridges and widen the on and off ramps.

It will take most of the week to move the utilities, so drivers are encouraged to plan some extra time for driving through the area.
