TULSA, OK -- Forty-four students from Marquette Elementary School were invited to dine at The Chalkboard Restaurant for a Kids Etiquette Class on Monday.

"We want people to feel comfortable coming into a fine dining restaurant and know exactly what utensils to use for dessert, for the salad or for the entrée," said Michael Frimel, General Manager of the Ambassador Hotel, next to the restaurant.

"Well, I didn't know a lot of stuff," admitted Chase McCall.  "Use the right utensils for the right stuff, hold them the right way."

Jana Christian is the President of The Etiquette School of Oklahoma.  She pointed out the fine points of dining etiquette to the students, and told them that good manners seldom go unnoticed.

"Manners give us an insight into our character and even out personalities," Christian said.  "If we can learn the skills when we are young, and we can practice them then when it comes time for that high-pressure job interview, our good manners are merely second-nature."
