JENKS, OK -- What looked like a scary scene in Jenks on Wednesday was just a drill.

The school district got help from 30 emergency agencies and three other school districts to test its new policy on missing or hijacked school vehicles.

Union loaned a bus, which officials loaded with kids, and then the action began.

Even with so many agencies helping, school leaders say the students benefit the most.

"We all learn how to better respond to a situation and we can keep them safe," said Tara Thompson with Jenks Public Schools. "You know, in a real-life situation, where human life is at stake, you want as few mistakes as possible."

The other schools that took part were Union, Glenpool and the Tulsa Technology Centers.
