Five Injured in Yukon Motel Explosion

Five people were injured, two critically after an explosion at the Guest Inn at 10 E. Main Street in Yukon Tuesday evening.

YUKON, Oklahoma -- Five people were injured, two critically after an explosion at the Guest Inn at 10 E. Main Street in Yukon on Tuesday evening.

The cause of the explosion is unknown, but the Oklahoma State Fire Marshal has been investigating the scene and could release the cause by tonight. The explosion happened near the laundry room.

The manager of the hotel was one of the critically injured. The 28-year-old is eight months pregnant. Another male victim was transported to a hospital in critical condition.

The other victims' conditions have not been released.

About 40 people were staying in the motel at the time of the explosion. All of those people have been moved to other motels or Red Cross Shelters.
