BROKEN ARROW, OK -- A teenager is in the hospital after being hit by a truck while riding his bike Tuesday night.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers say Jeremiah Scott was riding his bike at 11:30 p.m. near 131st Street South and Garnett Road.
He was eastbound in the westbound lane when troopers say 16-year-old Tanner Eckert of Bixby, driving a pickup truck, hit Scott head-on.
Scott was thrown from his bike 135 feet west and 25 feet south from the collision, according to troopers.
EMSA transported Scott to a Tulsa hospital with head, arm, leg and internal and external trunk injuries. He was admitted in serious condition.
Tanner Eckert was not injured.
Jeremiah Scott's current condition is unknown.
