OHP: Don't Watch Fireworks On Shoulder Of Road

UNDATED -- Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers have an important message for anyone enjoying fireworks this 4th of July weekend.

Troopers are reminding drivers not to pull off the roadway and onto the shoulder to watch fireworks displays.

"This practice is extremely dangerous and sets the stage for serious accidents along our highway systems," said Captain Chris West, OHP.

OHP reports there were a total of five fatal crashes, resulting in six deaths, over the holiday last year.
