Arson At South Tulsa Car Wash

TULSA, OK -- Crews with the Tulsa Fire Department say arson is to blame for a fire at a Mr. Klean Car Wash in South Tulsa.

The fire started shortly after 6 a.m. Monday at 71st and Sheridan.

When firefighters arrived, the outside of the car wash gift shop was on fire.

Two witnesses reported seeing a man throwing plastic garbage cans onto the fire, according to reports.

Investigators arrested a 68-year-old man who they say is homeless and mentally impaired.

Crews say the fire caused an estimated $20,000 in damage.
