Tahlequah, OK - He's big, bruising and packs a punch.

"Yeah I've gotten a little different looks from people," said Chris Littlehead.

It isn't Chris Littlehead's size that people are looking at. It's the color of his skin.

"Sometimes when I go to other camps people think I'm Samoan or Mexican," Littlehead said. "When I tell them I'm Indian, they're shocked because they've never really seen any Indians."

The senior offensive lineman goes to Sequoyah high school - an Indian boarding school in Tahlequah. As one of the highly recruited prospects in the state, the Native American has gained notoriety for his playing prowess.

"Even my freshman year I wasn't thinking about going division one for college," Littlehead said. "I was probably going to just go to college and get a degree. I wasn't thinking football that much."

Now with offers from half the Big 12 including OSU and Tulsa, he'll take his heritage to the next level and beyond.

"I take a lot of pride being able to go division one football and being Native American," Littlehead said. "I really enjoy that because there's not that many Native Americans in sports."
