Police: OKC Woman Dumps Baby In Trash Can

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK -- An Oklahoma City mother injures her own child at a gas station in the middle of the night. 

Oklahoma City Police received a call that the woman was running around a convenience store stabbing her baby with a needle. 

When officers arrived they found the infant with cut wounds at the bottom of a trash can. 

Both the baby and mother were rushed to an Oklahoma City hospital. 

"She obviously high on something we don't know what she was high on, but obviously she was high on something she was also transported to a local hospital for evaluation this morning," said Oklahoma Police Lt. Jeff Cooper. 

Police say the baby is going to be okay. 

The woman also stabbed another man at the convenience store.  EMSA treated him at the scene and then released him.
