UNDATED -- A 44-year-old Lawton man died after he was ejected from his vehicle in a single-car accident Saturday night in Comanche County. Kenneth Lee Calhoun was pronounced dead at the scene from internal injuries.

The wreck happened just after 10 p.m. on Southeast 75th Street, about a half mile south of Coombs Road. Calhoun's 1966 Jeep was southbound on SE 75th Street when it veered off the roadway to the right, leaving about 100 feet of visible skid marks before striking a bar ditch and barbed-wired fence.

The Jeep spun 180 degrees, and the driver was ejected, according to a report by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. He was not wearing his seat belt, the trooper states.

The driver's condition is under investigation though a contributing factor to the wreck was unsafe speed on a gravel road.
