PRYOR, OK -- A Mayes County school principal is now charged with three counts of sexually abusing a child.

The Mayes County Sheriff's Office says David Ray Fisher told them on Monday he was the principal at Chouteau Elementary School.

The sheriff's office says the complaints against Fisher are from acts that happened in 2003 and 2004 when he was a bus driver, coach and teacher for Chouteau-Mazie Public Schools.

Investigators say the victim was 13 at the time.

The superintendent for Chouteau-Mazie Public Schools tells The News On 6 that Fisher has been with the district for 12 years, but beyond that she cannot comment on the situation.

She says the school district is conducting its own investigation into the matter.
