ANADARKO, Oklahoma -- About 200 friend, families and those wanting to pay respect gathered in Anadarko to pay tribute to a woman whose life was cut tragically short.

The Greater First Baptist Church of Anadarko was overflowing with people offering prayer and support to the family of Pastor Carol Daniels at a vigil Friday night.

Pastor Daniels often came to help out at the Greater First Baptist Church, in addition to her own. That's just one of the reasons why Kym Pendarvis, who organized the vigil, said the congregation wanted to honor her and celebrate her life.

Several pastors in the community spoke at the vigil and a banner hung at the front of the church reading, "the mystery of love is greater than the mystery of death."

Daniels' funeral will be at the Greater New Zion Baptist Church in Oklahoma City on Monday, August at 1 p.m.
