OKLAHOMA CITY - An attempted robbery ended because an Oklahoma City woman's bank account was overdrawn.

According to police a woman called 911 Friday, September 18th at about 9 p.m. to report an attempted robbery at an Oklahoma City ATM.

The woman said she had pulled up to the Bank of America ATM at Southwest 89th Street and Western Avenue when a man approached her with a gun demanding money.

But after several attempts to withdraw cash, the man pulled the woman's ATM card out of the machine and threw it at her.

The transactions were declined because the woman's account was overdrawn.

The man ran back to his car and drove off.

The woman could not see the man's vehicle well enough to get a detailed description.

She described the man's car as a small, older white vehicle.

The man is described as a male in his late 20's to early 30's; about 5' 10" with a heavy build, short, shaved brown hair.

He was wearing a white T-shirt pulled up underneath his eyes.

If you have any information about the suspect you are asked to call police.
