TULSA, OK -- Police are investigating the death of a woman who was found Saturday in a Tulsa hotel room with a single stab wound. Officers have arrested the woman's husband, 49-year-old Bill Glenn, on a complaint of first degree murder.

Officers with the Tulsa Police Department responded to the hotel Saturday morning in the 8100 block of East Skelly Drive. When they arrived, they found the woman dead and her husband, Bill Glenn, was also inside the room.

Officers are trying to determine exactly what happened.

According to the police report, Glenn told officers the following information:

  • Glenn told officers that he and his wife had been drinking Friday night and that both were intoxicated. Glenn said he was involved in an argument and a scuffle with his wife in the hotel room.
  • Glenn said he only remembered "blacking out" and then waking up at about 5:30 a.m. and found his wife lying dead at the foot of the bed. Glenn told officers he woke a neighbor and asked for help. He attempted CPR and noticed his wife was bleeding. Glenn said he cleaned the blood from her, washed his hands and then called 911 and mentioned the wound to dispatch.
  • Glenn told officers he knew a fillet knife was involved in the incident, but he did not say how he knew this. Glenn said he remembered handling the knife Saturday morning, but couldn't remember how he used the knife, according to the arrest report. Glenn also told officers only he and his wife had a key to the room and they were the only people in the room Friday night and Saturday morning.

According to the arrest report, detectives found the fillet knife in the kitchen sink and it appeared someone had cleaned the knife. Detectives also found blood on the wall beside the victim's body.

Bill Glenn was booked into the Tulsa County Jail Saturday afternoon.
