Couples Married 50 Years Recognized At Tulsa State Fair

TULSA, OK -- 650 couples celebrated their golden years at the Tulsa State Fair Monday.

It's senior day at the fair and organizers recognized Tulsa area couples who've been married 50 years or longer.

One couple honored has been married for 73 years. Another couple has been married for 71 years.

"They set such wonderful examples for us. We learn so much. We've interviewed several today to find out their secret, how they've been married so long and stayed together and we find that we're all not that different," said Carolyn McGhay, Grace Hospice Special Projects.

One man said his secret to a long marriage is doing what his wife tells him.
