TULSA, OK -- Tulsa Police are still looking for a suspect who attempted to rob a convenience store clerk overnight.

The robbery attempt occurred at the 2 Go Food Mart at Pine and Fulton late Wednesday.

The store's clerk told police a man walked up to the locked door of the store and revealed a handgun in his waistband.

Police said the would-be robber demanded to be let inside.

Once the clerk let him inside, he forced the clerk to the back of the store.  The suspect then struck the clerk in the head with his gun.

The alarm sounded and police say the suspect ran away without getting any money.

The clerk was treated at the scene but declined to go to the hospital.
