TULSA, OK -- A north Tulsa group is driving home the importance of voting.

The Generation of Destiny Community Center, 4601 North Peoria, is trying to register as many north Tulsans as possible before next month's mayoral election.

You've heard the saying "every vote counts." Organizers say that's particularly true this year.

"It's only in presidential elections that we turn out in big numbers. But, if we wanna have a voice in our town, it has to be said that north Tulsa got out and voted and we participated in this election," said Jason Trent II, Generation of Destiny Community Center.

You can stop by the Generation of Destiny Community Center at 46th Street North and Peoria to register. The deadline is next Saturday.
