TULSA, OK -- This is the time of year when little ghosts and goblins, cowboys and princesses are created in store costume departments.

Halloween is just a couple of weeks away and the costume you are looking for may be hanging inside the Goodwill Store.

Jennifer Fenley was at Goodwill Tuesday shopping for her two boys. A horse costume for her 7-year-old was only $5.99.

A camouflage outfit is for a desert commando, behind that a transformer -- either one might work for her 9-year-old.

"They're always getting new stuff, so be a regular, that's the secret," said Jennifer Fenley, a Goodwill shopper.

Clothing donations are what make the entire Goodwill formula work.

"When you donate, then the items are sold in our store. That generates the revenue that help to fund our job training programs," said Nancy Webster, Goodwill Industries of Tulsa.

The poor economy, she says, has increased the demand for job training or re-training. It has also increased the number of people shopping in the Goodwill store.

"Our sales are up right now. Seven percent at this location and eight percent company-wide," said Heather Cleveland, store manager.

Goodwill of Tulsa operates nine stores in 27 counties in Eastern Oklahoma and Southwest Missouri.

All of them are open seven days a week and have sales and monthly specials.
