TULSA, OK -- Tulsa Police are looking for a robber who forced his way into an east Tulsa credit union at about 7:15 a.m. Thursday.

Police say the suspect jumped out from behind some bushes near the front door of the OK Members Federal Credit Union after using a limb as cover.

The credit union is located at 10832 East 31st Street.

Tulsa Police say the man held what the employee thought was a gun to the employee's head, forcing the employee to unlock a door.

After entering the credit union, the robber forced the employee to open the vault, then grabbed some money and ran away.

Police say evidence at the scene makes them believe the gun was a plastic toy.

The employee was not injured.

They say they recovered some of the cash from a creekbed near the credit union.

Police don't have much of a description of the robber, because he was completely covered by a ski mask, coveralls, gloves and a hood.

The man is described as 6-foot to 6-foot-2 and about 200 pounds, wearing white and black tennis shoes.

This is the 26th robbery of a financial institution in Tulsa so far in 2009.
