Dick Faurot Flies In The B-17 'Aluminum Overcast'

TULSA, OK -- News On 6 meteorologist Dick Faurot took a trip in history on Friday, taking a ride in a B-17 bomber.

The "Aluminum Overcast" is in town for a Salute to Veteran tour at Jones Riverside Airport. The aircraft is an example of the American heavy bomber that helped turn the tide of battle in World War II.

Dick says he was surprised at how cramped it was inside the plane and says the view from the front nose was remarkable.
