TULSA, OK -- New details have been released about the fate of Tulsa's Police horses. Hillcrest Medical Center bought all eight of the horses at fair market value so they can stay in the community.

The horses will be donated to local non-profit organizations which have equestrian programs. Tulsa's mounted patrol was disbanded in the latest round of budget cuts - and the officers reassigned.

Money from the sale of the horses will go into Tulsa's general fund.
