TULSA, OK -- Tulsa police captured a man suspected of robbing the Tulsa Federal Credit Union last month.

Lamar Terrell Washington, 33, was stopped Friday at about 7 p.m. while driving a white Ford Expedition in the 11200 block of East 41st St. He was booked on complaints of armed robbery and possession of a firearm after former conviction of a felony.

The robbery took place September 18 at 9323 E. 21st St. when witnesses say a man presented a note to a teller demanding cash and threatening harm. The man was then seen getting into a white Ford Expedition with a tag beginning with 477.

Washington was arrested in a white Expedition with tag number 477-EUZ, according to Sgt. David Walker of the Tulsa Police Department.

"The investigation is ongoing, and further charges are expected," Walker said.
