TULSA, OK -- Tulsa police and fire responded to two overnight crashes Saturday.

At about 3 a.m., a security guard at an apartment complex near the 1900 block of East 59th Street called police after hearing a crash. A car crashed into a utility pole which snapped on impact and was hanging over the road.

Police at the scene said the driver ran off from the accident before their arrival.

A driver fell asleep at the wheel at about 3:30 a.m. at 8800 E. Admiral. His car left the road, hit a drainage ditch and flipped over on its top. The car then caught fire leaving the occupants to scramble out to safety.

No one was injured in the accident, and Tulsa firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze.
