TULSA, OK -- The Tulsa Fire Department blames cigarettes for a fire that damaged an apartment in south Tulsa late Monday night.
The fire happened at the Country Hollow Apartments near 81st and Yale around 11:30 p.m.
Tulsa firefighters say a man, woman, and a dog were inside a second-floor apartment when a fire broke out on the balcony. All three were able to get out safely.
The flames were contained to just one unit, but an apartment on the first floor sustained some water damage.
The Tulsa Fire Department says the fire started after one of the occupants discarded cigarettes onto the balcony.
