TULSA, OK -- A man pulled from a small house fire Friday morning in the 1500 block of South Gillette has died.

The Tulsa Fire Department identified him as Billy Martin "Marty" McCoy, age 55.

Firefighters pulled the victim from the home shortly after 9:30 a.m.

They say they got a call from a female saying she smelled an electrical fire in her home.

When firefighters arrived on scene, they found the fire was already out, but they say McCoy was suffering from smoke inhalation and was in cardiac arrest.

The victim was in critical condition when EMSA took him to a Tulsa hospital.

He died there a short time later.
