Tulsa, OK -- The First Fidelity Bank located at 30 West 21st Street was robbed by a lone male gunman.

The robbery happened Monday night at about 6:20 p.m.

Tulsa police officers say the bandit entered the bank with a black handgun and announced his intent to rob the bank and then demanded cash from two tellers. The tellers complied with the robbers demands and the suspect ran away, according to police.

The suspect left in a southwest direction with cash in hand. Police say there were no customers in the bank at the time of the robbery and several other employees were in the bank, however they did not witness the robbery.

Officers say the suspect is described as a man, possibly white, 6'0"-6'2" with a skinny build between 25-35 years old. The bandit had his face completely painted with black makeup. He was wearing a gray stocking cap with a gray sport coat, jeans described as not blue, possibly green, and shoes with a heal on them.

No one was injured in this robbery and no shots were fired. The suspect left with an undetermined amount of cash. This is the 28th robbery of a financial institution in Tulsa for 2009.

Anyone with information on this suspect is asked to call the robbery tip line at 527-0085, e-mail robbery@ci.tulsa.ok.us, or the local FBI office at 664-3300.
