OKFUSKEE COUNTY - A 24-year-old Georgia man was killed early Thursday morning on eastbound Interstate 40 in Okfuskee County. The single-car accident took place at 4:13 a.m. near the 217 mile marker.

According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers, Alex Fermin Vazquez, 18, of Tucker, Georgia was driving a 2003 Ford eastbound when the vehicle left the highway to the right. Troopers say Vazquez overcorrected, and the car went into a broad slide, struck a sign and rolled about two times, coming to rest upright.

Three of four occupants in the vehicle were ejected from the car. A 24-year-old passenger, Gilberto Manuel Soto, also of Tucker, was dead on arrival at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa of massive injuries.

Another passenger, 25-year-old Crystal M. Yanes of Tucker, is in St. Francis Hospital listed in critical condition with multiple injuries. Passenger Louis Yanes, age 8, is in St. Francis in good condition.

The drier, Alex Vazquez, was transported to St. John Hospital in Tulsa in good condition.
