Bartlesville Woman Arrested For Kicking Child

BARTLESVILLE, OK -- A Bartlesville woman is in the Washington County jail after she was arrested Monday for reportedly kicking a 4-year-old boy in the head. 

Twenty-eight-year-old Erin Ashe was booked into jail on a complaint of child abuse. 

According to Bartlesville Police, a witness told officers he had seen Ashe kick the child in the head over the weekend and that there was a visible injury to the boy's "left temple." 

The witness says the boy fell backwards and began to cry.

When police officers questioned Ashe, she told them she had only nudged the boy with her foot and the witness was not in a location to see the incident. 

When asked about the boy's head injury, Ashe told police, she had slapped him for spitting on her the day before.

The police officer stated in his report the child showed signs of an injury to the left temple area.
