SAND SPRINGS---The Sand Springs Cultural and Historical Museum is taking a look at the toys from our childhoods with its exhibition "Toy Classics", featuring toys from 1940's through 1980's.
‘There's been a big interest in it,' said Sand Springs Museum Association Chair Patti Dixon, ‘and a lot of people are now sharing toys they have saved from their childhood.'
From Barbies to G.I. Joes, there is something for everyone, toys like Lincoln Logs that are hard to find to classics like the Etch-O-Sketch which are still in production today.
Sure to bring a sigh from those over 30, these toys may evoke sympathy from today's kids used to more electronics. Safely behind glass you'll even see a Daisy Pump-Action BB gun or two, it may be a good thing times have changed, you could put an eye out!
The museum is located at 9 E. Broadway in downtown Sand Springs.
Hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10-5 and Saturday 10-2.
