WAGONER COUNTY -- An 18-year-old Wagoner man was killed after losing control of his SUV on an icy road at about 1:24 a.m. Sunday, according to a report by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

OHP troopers say Louis Joe Honeycutt was driving northbound on County Road 270 about a mile north of Wagoner when his vehicle hit an icy patch, went into a broadside slide and rolled one time, coming to rest upright.

Honeycutt was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene from internal injuries.

Troopers say Honeycutt was not wearing a safety belt at the time of the accident.
