MANNFORD, OK -- The News On 6 received several e-mails from people concerned for the welfare of two homeless people camped at the intersection of Highways 99 and 51, west of Mannford. There, The News On 6 found a tent and a large trailer that Roy Gleiter had been pulling across the country since he was displaced by Hurricane Katrina.

"Been pulling that thing - if you count all of it - from Mississippi to Colorado, Colorado to Idaho, back to Mississippi, Mississippi to Washington D.C. to start a protest march," said Roy, who is now on his way to Washington state.

Asked why he was protesting by pulling a heavy trailer across the country with a family friend he refers to as "Mom," Gleiter will give his views on the loss of America, a diatribe not printed in this article, but more fully explored in the accompanying video.

Roy also has a significant number of videos on YouTube to back up the claims of his extensive travels. While his form of protest against the system may not be to everyone's liking, Gleiter does raise issues concerning all Americans.

"We're being turned into this pseudo Communist-Socialist police state," said Roy. "We're watching them kill this nation like it has no value, and this nation is key. We come from great people, and we can only do one thing and that is lead."

Roy looks to a higher power to assist him in his journey and adds that if anyone has a dog that would grow eventually to 175-200 pounds, it would help pull the heavy load he has assumed as well as provide protection along the way.
