TULSA, OK -- Crews shut off the water Sunday evening to first floor of the Hillcrest Medical Center at 11th and Utica after a water pipe broke inside the building.

The News On 6 is told the break happened in an area where records are stored.

Hillcrest reports no patients were affected by the break.

The Assistant Fire Chief says the cold is really taking a toll on pipes.

"It's been happening all over the city. We will continue, as we thaw, as the temperatures get warmer, we'll continue to see more and more of this occur, unfortunately," said Assistant Fire Chief Dennis Beyer, Tulsa Fire Department.

The hospital is in the process of cleaning up the mess.
