TULSA, OK -- A man Tulsa police were searching for as a person of interest in connection with the city's fourth homicide of 2010 was found and police have cleared him as a suspect.

Police officers were called to the Seminole Hills Apartments in the 1600 block of East Ute shortly after 8 p.m. Thursday.

When they arrived, officers say they found 28-year-old Jonathan Tennant dead in the complex's parking lot next to a gray 4-door vehicle that was running with the door still open.

Witnesses told police that the suspect ambushed Tennant as he got out of his car, then fired several shots and kept firing as he ran away.

Police interviewed 22-year-old Demario Sanchez Wilkerson Friday night and cleared him as a suspect. Police say he had been spotted at the Seminole Hills Apartments right before the shooting.

The complex is located just south of Booker T. Washington High School.

Thursday's homicide was the third one in a week.

If you have any information that could help police, call Crime Stoppers at 596-COPS.
