Woman Robbed In Tulsa Motel Parking Lot

TULSA, OK -- A robber busted out a woman's car window, unlocked her door and demanded money, according to Tulsa police.

The armed robbery occurred overnight Sunday in the parking lot of the Western Inn, located in the 5900 block of East 11th Street.

Officers with the Tulsa Police Department say a woman was in her car shortly before 1:30 a.m., waiting to pick up friends who were leaving the Club Corral next door.

Officers say a man then smashed in the back window of the vehicle, unlocked the door and demanded the woman's money. At some point, officers say he also shot through the window, hitting the backseat.

The man took the woman's money and cell phone and left in another vehicle, according to police.
