OHP Seeking Vehicle That Hit And Killed Woman

Oklahoma Highway Patrol investigators are seeking help in locating a vehicle involved in a fatal hit and run accident in McIntosh County last week.

EUFAULA, OK -- Oklahoma Highway Patrol investigators are seeking help in locating a vehicle involved in a fatal hit and run accident in McIntosh County last week. 

OHP troopers were called to the scene about four miles north of Eufaula on U.S. Highway 69 at 11:30 p.m. Thursday. 

The body of 48-year-old Dana Rogers of Eufaula was found near the highway's shoulder.  

Initially, trooper thought Rogers' body was staged at the accident scene.

This week, the state ME's office ruled it a hit and run accident. 

OHP investigators are now focusing efforts on locating the suspect vehicle. 

"At this point, we have no vehicle information to go on.  We are asking for anyone with information to come forward and assist us in finding the person or persons responsible for this crime," said OHP Lt. Jason Holt.
