TULSA, OK -- A Tulsa high school was taken off lockdown shortly after Noon on Wednesday after school and campus police officials completed a search of the grounds for a rumored weapon on the campus of Nathan Hale High School.
Hale officials notified the district at 9:50 a.m. Wednesday, that they placed the school on lockdown to question a student and search his locker.
School officials tell The News On 6, the found nothing to corroborate the rumor in the interview of the student or the search of his locker.
Officials say Tulsa Public Schools has a zero-tolerance policy regarding weapons on campus and takes seriously all tips and information regarding student safety and security.
