ODOT Reopens One Westbound Lane Of I-44 At 161st East Avenue

All lanes of east and westbound I-44 will remain closed at the 161st East Avenue junction until further notice and traffic is still detoured onto the access ramps at this location.

ODOT Reopens One Westbound Lane Of I-44 At 161st East Avenue

CATOOSA, OK -- The Oklahoma Department of Transportation has opened one westbound lane of I-44 at the 161st East Avenue junction. ODOT says one westbound lane is still closed as well as both eastbound lanes. All eastbound traffic is still detoured onto the access ramps at this location.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says freezing temperatures Wednesday morning slowed the curing of the concrete.

Also, all lanes of 165th East Avenue under I-44 will remain closed until further notice as part of this repair project.

ODOT is urging motorists to used extreme caution in this area, to allow plenty of time for this detour, or find an alternate route if possible.
