Police Investigate East Tulsa Home Invasion, Shooting

TULSA, OK -- Tulsa Police released more information about an East Tulsa home invasion late Wednesday afternoon. They are investigating the incident where a young Tulsa man was shot and pistol-whipped in a house in the 1200 block of South 199th East Avenue, near 11th and Garnett. 

Shortly after 11:30 a.m. police officers were dispatched the home, and upon arrival officers learned someone had fired five shots. 

Police announced late Wednesday afternoon that three suspects forcibly entered the residence and shot a man inside the house. They then struck him with the handgun.

The victim, an 18-year-old man, transported by EMSA to a Tulsa hospital. Police say the extent of his injuries is unknown, but they do not appear to be life-threatening.

A four-door red vehicle was seen leaving the scene. 

At least four people were inside the home at the time of the incident.
