PAOLI, Oklahoma -- Authorities have located a man wanted after his estranged wife was found with her throat slit.

Authorities said Guy Dunn was found in his vehicle with what looked like knife wounds to his body and a slit throat, but he was alive.

"There was no gunshot," said Garvin County Sheriff Steve Brooks. "It appears to be self-inflicted lacerations with a knife."

Dunn was found near U.S. 77 in Garvin County at about 2 p.m. and was transported to the hospital in an unknown condition.

The Garvin County Sheriff's Office began a manhunt for Dunn after an altercation took place between him and his estranged wife, Louise Dunn, Thursday morning in Paoli.

"He observed an object in his hand, he wasn't for sure whether it was a knife or not," said Brooks. "Advised his father that, he said, 'Check on your grandmother,' went into the room. She was lying on the bed, was attempting to render aid to herself. She had what appeared to be a laceration on her throat."

Authorities said after Dunn left the residence, his grandson found Dunn's estranged wife in bed with her throat slit. The woman was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

"Overall I just thought it was shocking, you know, cause in a community like this you rarely ever hear anything this brutal," said neighbor Dereck Stewart. "And, I think it should be an eye-opener for our society here."

Dunn is being called a person of interest in the case.
