TULSA, OK -- The BOK Center celebrated a major milestone Saturday night at the Tulsa Oilers' game.

The arena recognized the arena's one-millionth patron to attend an event since opening in September 2008.

The lucky person is Steve Sides of Tulsa.

"I'd heard about it, but I didn't think there would be any chance of me actually being the one-millionth fan," said Sides.

Sides won an assortment of prizes valued at more than $4,000, including a suite during the Tulsa Talons season opener game and a suite for an Oilers home game next season. Also included were a variety of concert t-shirts and other memorabilia.

"I think it's a testament to how many great fans there are of the Oilers and the Talons and of so many artists that come to town," Sides said. "It's a testament to how many great fans we have in the area that like to come and enjoy this facility."

General Manager John Bolton and Assistant GM Jerry Goldman were present and met Sides, who was attending the game with his son.

"It's wonderful that we are able to reach this milestone after opening only 18 months ago," said BOK Center General Manager John Bolton. "We are rewarding this special fan as a tribute to all of the people who have attended events at the arena."
