SKIATOOK, OK -- A Tulsa County school superintendent suspended amid a spending scandal could find out this week if he will keep his job.
The Skiatook school board will meet Friday at Noon to discuss Gary Johnson's employment.
Johnson was suspended with pay last week after a state audit revealed the district wasted half a million dollars on overpriced custodial items and security equipment.

Superintendent Dr. Gary Johnson wrote a letter last March, responding to some of the allegations. He claimed the district believed it got a "good deal" at the time.
As far as the mark-ups, the superintendent said, "I would never intentionally allow a vendor to markup product 100 percent."
He repeatedly says the district bought supplies from E&E Sales, the vendor accused of marking up products, because it "believed" it was getting "excellent products" and "superior service."
Johnson said he informed the school board that they weren't always getting the lowest price and bids were not taken.
