3.1 Magnitude Earthquake Shakes Lincoln County

SPARKS, Oklahoma – A 3.1 magnitude earthquake rattled Lincoln County overnight.

The United States Geological Survey reported the earthquake struck around 12 a.m. about three miles east of Sparks.

At least two earthquakes were reported near Sparks since the start of the year. Oklahoma had a record year for small earthquakes in 2009.

Anyone who felt the quake is asked to report it on the Oklahoma Geological Survey's Web site.
