Pawnee Man Charged With Illegally Disposing Of His Wife's Body

PAWNEE, OK -- A 55-year-old Pawnee County resident is in jail charged with unlawful removal of a dead body. 

The body is that of Thomas Haga's wife, Clarice Haga. 

Pawnee County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested Haga Wednesday afternoon. 

The charge was filed in Osage County District Court. 

Haga is accused of dumping Clarice's body in a cistern in rural Pawnee County in 2007.  Her body was found in 2009. 

Deputies say she was last seen in Osage County on July 4, 2007. 

The body has been sent to the state Medical Examiner's Office in Tulsa to determine the cause and manner of death.
