OHP: Love County Woman Dies Following Accident On Icy Road

LOVE COUNTY -- A 77-year-old woman is dead following a car accident Sunday morning in Love County.

The accident happened at 9:42 a.m. on state Highway 32, three miles East of Marietta.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers report a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer, driven by Dixie G. Anderson of Marietta, was traveling westbound on SH-32 when Anderson lost control on the icy road, ran off the road and struck a tree.

Anderson was transported by Love County EMS to Mercy Love County Health Center in Marietta. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.

No was else was involved in the accident.

Troopers report the cause of the collision was unsafe speed for ice or snow on the roadway.
