TULSA, OK -- The trial of a Tulsa man charged with the kidnapping and lewd molestation of a 2-year-old girl in 2009 is underway in Tulsa County District Court.

In August, 2009, Marcus Berry Sr. was arrested after he was found with the girl parked off a Tulsa street.

The girl went missing from the front yard of a home in the 2400 block of North Yorktown earlier in the evening.

A jury has been picked earlier this week.  Following opening statements Wednesday morning, testimony from a list of witnesses for the state got underway Wednesday afternoon.

On the first day of testimony, family members described the day of the abduction

She wandered out of her grandmother's home on Yorktown. Her mother, grandmother and uncle testified that they somehow lost sight of the girl that day.

A neighbor reported seeing the girl walk into the street and Berry coaxing the girl into his truck.

Berry was formerly convicted of molesting an 8-year-old and a 13-year-old in two separate cases.
